Well that was pretty much me after my divorce back in '05, except it was vodka instead of orange juice! That was of course before I discovered internet dating and realized how easy it is to date hotties online. Read on to hear my story of redemption...
While I was married, my social life went straight down the crapper. So when I found myself newly single I didn't have too many buddies to go at and pick-up girls with like I used to back in the day. I went out by myself a bit, but being depressed didn't help me when it came to chatting up women.

One day on an airplane I was flipping through a copy of Maxim when I came across an article extolling the benefits of online dating. I always thought the internet dating was for geeks, but at this point I was willing to try anything...
I signed up for match.com, wrote what I thought was an excellent profile, posted it on the internet... And I couldn't get a nibble! I was shocked and confused... I mean I'm a professional writer for Pete's sake, I'm not bad looking, and I even put up a picture of myself with my adorable puppy, what female could resist that?
I was bummed, and thought about taking down my profile and finding another way to meet women, "maybe I'll try taking a yoga class," I thought to myself. But I ended up sticking it out, rewriting my profile, tweaking it over and over and over again, until at long last I got it right.
What happened next was astonishing... Not only did girls start responding to the emails I sent them, but I started receiving emails from new and attractive women almost every single day! The thing was, the very first girl I went out with (a 22 year-old coed dancer) really tickled my fancy and I ended up dating her for a couple months. So at first I didn't even have time to get to all the other women who wanted a piece of Jake!
She really helped me get over my ex and recognize the fact that I still have my whole life ahead of me. I've gone on to date a ton of hotties that I met online and I now enjoy a dating life far superior to the one I had before I got married. Of course I also date women that I meet in other places, but I've found that the quality of women on dating sites like match.com actually far exceeds that of most bars and night clubs.
